After his studies of "Photographic Engineering" in Cologne he was a product manager for a monitor manfacturer, specialized in high-end hardwarecalibrated displays. From 2008 to 2015 he was working as a Research Associate at Fogra in Munich. Besides general color appearance, image and print quality he was focussing on display and light related research topics there. In 2015 he joined the Konica Minolta Sensing Europe headquarter as a specialist for Light & Display measurements.
