Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Psych. Frederik Diederichs is researcher and consultant at Fraunhofer IAO. His major interest are in human-machine interaction for the mobility of tomorrow. In numerous projects for OEMs, Tier 1s and as part of international cooperations he has collected data for driver state analysis in driving simulators and on-road testings. He developed a driver model for distraction and for driver intentions, worked on sleepiness and emotion detection and suitable HMI solutions to deal with elevated driver states. Frederik originally studied psychology in Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and received his Phd in engineering at the University of Stuttgart. He is leading Fraunhofers Driving Simulation lab and several research projects.
