Mike is recognised as a global authority on human factors and safety. He has 30 years’ experience developing and delivering technology and policy solutions to improve safety across all modes of transport. He joined Seeing Machines in 2014 following an academic career as a Professor in Human Factors at the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC). At Seeing Machines, he has held several executive roles. As Chief Scientist Human Factors, he established our world-leading human factors and safety research team. Mike then, as GM of our Aftermarket business, brought our Guardian product and service to global customers. Until early 2025, he led the Innovation teams responsible for our technology strategy and roadmap that drives our Research and Development. Mike is now the executive responsible for our global policy and regulatory engagement, thought leadership, safety-focused customer engagement and outreach alongside our safety and user-experience research. Building global partnerships with customers, research providers and safety groups to drive future revenue growth – making the world’s roads and skies safer. Mike holds a BSc (Hons), Global Executive MBA and a PhD in Human Factors Psychology. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast
